Most items that we receive are powder coated. In a controlled environment, the pieces being painted are negatively charged and grounded while the powder paint is being positively charged. The result is powder paint adhering evenly to the pieces being painted. The benefit of electricity is that we can paint on a vertical surface while ensuring an even coat with no overspray which could cause discolouration.
Powder paint is an extremely durable materail, used to paint all sorts of things. Fibreglass doors, bike frames, vehicle rims, outdoor patio sets and more are painted using powder paint. Given that most of these objects are outdoors, having a durable finish is optimal, especially in wet environments. Powder paint is more resistent to rust than liquid based paint and is also less likely to chip or flake.
